Welcome to Milliron Sports. We are a blog site based out of Cincinnati, OH. Sports is our main passion, but we cover a wide range of other topics as well, from movies and television to food and beer and just about everything in between. While we’re by no means experts in any of these areas, we won’t let that stop us from bringing you our own blend of humor, analysis, opinions and B.S. Our goal is to bring interesting, relevant and entertaining content from around the country with a local Cincinnati flavor sprinkled in.
We would like to take a few moments to introduce you to the individual members of our crew:
Hey there, I’m DB (Dumpster Baby, Dope Boy, Douche Bag; take your pick). Being a Reds/Bengals/Bearcats fan came naturally with my upbringing in Cincinnati. As a kid, one of my biggest hobbies was collecting NBA trading cards (ohhhh, the money I’ve wasted). The love of cards led me to become a fan of a young man named Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers. The 5 time NBA Champion retired, but my love for the Lakers is still there even though they’ve been awful for a few years now. I love to root for my teams, but another favorite of mine is rooting AGAINST teams. Go ahead and label me a hater; I don’t deny it. Any team LeBron plays for, any team from Pittsburgh, any team in the AFC North or NL Central, UK and Duke basketball… they can all suck it.
When I’m not watching sports, I also enjoy playing them (I do okay for a fat white guy). I’ve probably watched and re-watched way too many episodes of The Simpsons and The Office. Michael Scott just gets me. I also enjoy playing video games. My wife and I have a baby on the way; we’re already arguing over whether she can dress them in UK gear. I don’t wanna hate my own kid, but she may force me to disown the little hillbilly.
Hey y’all, El Jefe here. I was raised by my pops to be a Cincinnati sports fan (unfortunately I don’t know any better). My obsession with sports is fueled by participating in them most of my life.
I finally hung up my cleats for the suit and tie life. I spend most of my time hating everything Pittsburgh besides my wife who is a Steelers fan (puking noise). If you’re anti: Bengals, Reds, Blue Jackets, or Bearcats then…COME AT ME BRO !!
I am a people pleaser and a gentle giant but I have a lot of pet peeves. I am always the loudest person in the room and have an opinion about everything. I am also slightly obsessed with my pug and cat. Welcome to Milliron Sports !!
What is there to say about me, other than what my wife would tell you? I think she’d probably say something about me being ripped and super funny, but maybe not because she’s not a liar. There is nothing in this world I love more than my family and sports (I’ll let them tell you which is 1a and which is 1b). A good cold beer and Skyline Chili would be a close second. I wish I could say counting my teams’ championships was something I love, but it would only lead to a deep depression considering the last championship we’ve experienced was in 1990 (shout out B-Lark and the Cincinnati Reds). I live my life expecting the worst when it comes to sports, and I’m rarely proven wrong. I try not to let that affect my personal life but you’ll quickly learn I’m as bitter as an 80 year old man who just got his driving privileges revoked. Welcome aboard to Milliron Sports and I hope you can find joy in my misery as an all too loyal sports fan stuck in a never ending merry-go-round of disappointing seasons.
Greetings everyone. For the select few of you out there that don’t know me, you can call me Whitty. When asked to describe myself, I prefer to do so in terms of which Ninja Turtle I’m most like. I like to consider myself as a combination of Leonardo, Michelangelo and Donatello, but slightly less green and with a beard. I enjoy doing things that I’m not very good at, like golfing, singing, playing video games and talking about sports.
As a Reds, Bengals and Blue Jackets fan I have enjoyed exactly zero professional post season victories since I was 9 years old, which has in no way made me bitter when it comes to sports. I am also a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes fan, but I’m one of the Buckeyes’ fans that isn’t obnoxious about it (we exist, I swear). While I prefer college football to any other sport, I honestly believe that hockey offers the most enjoyable live experience in all of sports. It’s hard to match the electricity and atmosphere of an NHL arena, especially during the playoffs. If you have a question for me, want to have an intelligent, civilized conversation, or just want to tell me how much of an idiot I am, leave a comment here or hit me up on Twitter.
