Don’t get me wrong, I love the NBA Playoffs. There have been some great series so far, and watching John Wall talk trash to anything that moves has been thoroughly entertaining. The heroics of Isaiah Thomas have been amazing, and watching the Cavs and Warriors dismantle teams has been fun at times (boring most of the time, though).
If I have one gripe about the playoffs, it’s the length of time it takes them to conclude. April 16th was the first game of the playoffs, and here we sit almost a month later with still two conference semi-finals going on. We all know it’s going to happen. No one in the West can challenge the Warriors, and no one in the East stands a chance against Lebron and Co. But we’ll have to wait another month to start the Finals.
They’re on a collision course, and I can barely stand to wait any longer! Until then, I’ll try and enjoy the lesser match-ups in the playoffs (like that Spurs/Rockets OT game).
Side note: the Lakers (my favorite team since I was 11) have a shot at the #1 pick. The draft lottery is next week, and if they don’t get a top 3 pick, it goes to the 76ers from a past trade. Keeping my fingers crossed for the purple and gold!
