Jefe’s 25 Beers ‘til Christmas: Day 2

Welcome back to the second day of Jefe’s 25 beers ’til Christmas. To fill in first-time readers; each day leading up to Christmas I will be trying a new holiday beer and then rating it on a 1 to 5 scale. My goal is to give you an idea of the best beers to drink as you deal with the chaos of the holiday season.

December 2nd:

Christmas Ale by Breckinridge Brewery (@BreckBrew)

Beer Style: Winter Warmer

Location: Littleton, Colorado

My overall rating on this beer is a 2.5. With a name like Christmas Ale, this should be the best beer I try over the next 25 days. Unfortunately, the high altitude in the mountainous town of Littleton must also cause a lack of taste buds. Imagine you are sitting next to a warm fire watching a funny Christmas movie and then someone says, “hey I wonder what that fire taste like?” My answer would be Christmas Ale. I would definitely recommend going back to the drawing board and tweaking the recipe. Just make sure you use the paper for writing a new recipe instead of “ROLLING DOOBIES!!”

All joking aside if you are a fan of hoppy beers this is perfect for you.
