Jefe’s 25 Days ‘til Christmas: Day 4

Welcome to the fourth day of Jefe’s 25 beers ’till Christmas; today I will be rating Accumulation (New Belgium Brewing) on a 1 to 5 scale.  This is the second holiday beer I am trying out of the state of Colorado; so this gives them a chance to totally redeem themselves.

December 4th:

Accumulation by New Belgium Brewing (@newbelgium)

Beer type: IPA

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado

My rating for this beer is a 2.0. Accumulation left such a nasty aftertaste in my mouth that I tried to chug it; horrible mistake. I am definitely going to stick with my usual New Belgium favorite; Fat Tire. That being said this is the perfect time for a confession, and please don’t judge me…I hate IPA’s; there I said it! I can’t get on board with the hoppy woodsy bitter taste that is India Pale Ale. I invite you to rip me apart in the comments if you wish, but it feels good to get that off my chest. Moving on and putting all personal opinions aside; I would say for IPA lovers this is a perfect holiday beer.

If you have tried any of the beers I have featured so far comment and let me know your opinion/ tell me why I’m wrong about mine.
