Welcome to the twelfth day of Jefe’s 25 Beers ’til Christmas. For first time readers, I will be reviewing 25-holiday beers leading up to Christmas and rating them on a 1 to 5 scale. At the end of my countdown, I will rate the beers from favorite to oh my god that was gross. Today I give the west coast a chance to make me a fan of a beer type I don’t understand the obsession with.
Celebration by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company (@SierraNevada)
Beer Type: American IPA
Location: Going going back-back to Cali, The Golden State, California.
My rating for this beer is a 3.0. This beer taste like I opened a Christmas tree that is too big for my living-room and I am standing in the center of it literally tasting the branches as they hit my mouth. So basically exactly like I’m Clark Griswold. I confessed to you on Day 4 of my countdown that I strongly dislike IPAs. The craft beer obsession has exploded in recent years and one thing is clear, either you are an IPA guy or you’re not. If you are an IPA lover this beer is a must. All that being said it really wasn’t an awful beer it had a seasonal taste, I just can’t handle that strong aftertaste of this beer type. Please comment below tell me why I am wrong or you could give me an idea of some IPAs I may find delicious, and I will happily try them and review them.
