Welcome to the seventeenth day of Jefe’s 25 Beers ’til Christmas. Christmas is next week which means, we are in the final stretch of my holiday beer review. When I glanced at my list of beers I noticed I still needed four more holiday beer types, so I ventured out to Party Source in Newport Kentucky. (Highly Recommended) While I was there I noticed they have a Braxton Brewery Taproom located in the back of the store, where you can try various brews from the Kentucky based brewery. I really enjoy the beers that I have tried from this local tristate brewery, so I tried their holiday beer and will rate it on a 1 to 5 scale.
Braxton Claus by Braxton Brewing Company
Beer Type: Stout-Milk
Location: Covington, KY
I’m rating this beer a perfect 5. I haven’t had a beer from Braxton I haven’t liked. This beer makes me want milk and cookies, it was so amazing. I could literally drink a gallon of this stuff. Do Santa a favor this year and set a glass of Braxton Claus out with the milk & cookies. I was nervous when I first saw peppermint stout, I thought the peppermint was going to be overpowering but it is blended perfectly. Do yourself a favor and check out Braxton Brewery Taproom at Party Source in Newport, you will not be disappointed.
