I know drafting an offensive lineman in the first round isn’t always the sexiest pick, but the Bengals o-line has been a disaster ever since Mike Brown fucked up the Andrew Whitworth situation a few years ago. Jonah Williams appears to have everything you want in a franchise left tackle. He’s played at the highest level (Alabama, maybe you’ve heard of them) against the best talent in college and there are endless stories about his work ethic and desire to be the very best in the game.

People can cry about Dalton all they want, but no quarterback would be able to succeed with the offensive line the Bengals had assembled before the draft, so improving the front line was a must. Drafting a first round QB without addressing the offensive line would’ve been like buying a Maserati without the tires. Sure it’s flashy and looks cool, but you can’t drive it.
Hopefully Jonah Williams is the tires on our Cincinnati Maserati for the next 10 years. Here’s his highlight package to get your blood flowing before we settle in for the rest of the draft.
