Browns Finally Win, but The Opening of the Bud Light Fridges in Cleveland Was a Major Letdown

I don’t know about you, but when I heard there was a bunch of free beer to be had when the Browns finally earned their first victory in over 600 days, I expected anarchy the moment the clock struck 0:00. I was looking forward to it because I love watching videos on Twitter of fans destroying their own cities after a big win. Usually it’s for a championship, but a victory over the Jets on a Thursday night is about as close to a Super Bowl as the Browns will get for the foreseeable future.

Browns fans drink in sorrow, they drink in victory every few years, and they have no problem getting rowdy in honor of their beloved football team. That’s why I’m a little disappointed in how civil the opening of the beer fridges were. Check it out for yourself.  Continue reading

Nati Boys #42: Skills Challenge

img_3509-1

The Nati Boys congratulate Lebron James for congratulating himself on a huge milestone.  While Lebron was busy tooting his own horn, his Cavs have been struggling recently and everyone is putting the blame on poor Kevin Love.  We discuss the upcoming NBA All Star Game player draft and the questionable decision not to televise it.  We question Duke’s recruiting tactics and talk about the recent comments from NFL draft-hopefuls Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen.  We recap the NFL conference championship games and wrap up the show with a fantasy draft of events we’d like to see at the upcoming NFL skills competition.

I’m sure you ate way too much food over the past 3-5 days too (Side Note: If you’re one of those “Ham is a better Thanksgiving food than turkey” lunatics, please stop reading now. You’re not welcome here). You’ve either spent some quality time with family or spent time doing everything possible trying to avoid family. You spent hours watching football all weekend and maybe even slipped in a basketball game or two (I hear people are still into that these days). Hell, you may have even put up your Christmas decorations already. With all of that going on, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that you have to go back to work tomorrow. The week after Thanksgiving always feels like the longest week of the year, especially on Monday. So as the NFL games wrap up on Sunday, you’ll start to have the very sobering realization that you have to go back to reality tomorrow. And that’s easily one of the most depressing feelings ever. I can’t do anything to fix that, but hopefully I can at least offer you a brief distraction with today’s Wake Up With Whitty.
