With Halloween right around the corner, the candy has been flowing at the DB household. While we snack on Snickers and Butterfingers, we’ve been using the FXNOW app to throw on some of the older Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror episodes. They have a great playlist with all of the episodes readily available, which makes it easy to binge-watch while I binge-eat.
Growing up, The Simpsons was must-watch TV for me and my brother (my mom didn’t want us watching it, so of course it became a priority). Every weeknight, our local Fox affiliate (Fox 19, sup?) would play an episode after the 10 O’clock news. We would set our VCR to record, and re-watch these episodes on loop. Then, in the early 2000’s, it became a trend for TV series’ to be released on DVD. HOLY SHIT was that a game changer. I’d wear those DVD’s out, watching them every night as I fell asleep. And now with streaming content, it’s easier than ever to watch your favorite episodes of the show. I’ve been having a craving to go back and watch episodes of my favorite show from my childhood/teen/adult years, so that’s what I’ll be doing.
